How to export a document as PDF
Open the document you want to export.
Review the live preview in the Document Builder to make sure everything looks correct.
Click the Export button at the top of the Document Builder — it's available both while viewing and while editing.
Your PDF is generated and downloaded automatically.
The exported PDF is exactly what your client receives
Exports are generated on TCB's servers using the same engine that produces the PDFs sent by email and for signature. That means the file you download is pixel-for-pixel the same document your client gets — same fonts, same layout, same page breaks. No surprises between "what I checked" and "what they received".
Is the PDF ready to send to clients?
Yes. TCB generates clean, formatted PDFs designed to be shared directly with clients, no additional editing required.
Can I re-export after making changes?
Yes. You can return to the Document Builder, make any adjustments, and export a new PDF at any time. Each export reflects the current state of your document — and the Saved indicator next to the Save button tells you when your latest changes were stored.
Will my PDF have a watermark?
On the Free plan, exported PDFs include a TCB watermark. Upgrading to Plus removes watermarks from all your documents. Read Free vs Plus — what's the difference? to learn more.
What if the PDF doesn't look right?
Check that your Service Type is properly configured in Base Setup — it drives the content structure of your document.
Make sure all fields in the Document Builder are filled in correctly before exporting.
If the issue persists, contact the TCB team via the chat widget.
