What is the live preview?
The live preview is the real-time view of your document inside the Document Builder. As you fill in fields on the left side of the screen, the preview on the right updates instantly — showing you exactly what your client will receive before you export anything.
What does the preview show?
The full document layout rendered as a true A4 page, with your content applied
Formatting and structure based on your selected Service Type and Document Type
An accurate representation of how the final PDF will look once exported or sent
Can I edit directly in the preview?
No. The preview is read-only. All edits are made in the fields on the left side of the Document Builder — the preview updates automatically as you type. Each column scrolls independently, so you can move through a long document on one side without losing your place on the other.
Is the preview the same as the exported PDF?
Yes — what you see in the preview is what you get in the PDF. Exports and the copies sent to clients are generated from the same source, so there are no surprises after export. Read How to export a document as PDF for details.
The preview isn't loading — what should I do?
Make sure you've completed the document creation flow — selecting a Project, Client, and Document Type is required before the Document Builder loads.
Check that your Service Type has content configured in Base Setup.
Try refreshing the page.
