Your data is safe
Downgrading from Plus to Free does not delete anything. All your work — clients, projects, documents, and signed files — stays in your account. What changes is what you can do going forward, not what you've already built.
What happens to your projects
The Free plan allows up to 3 active projects. If you have more than 3 active projects at the time of downgrade:
All your projects remain visible in your account — nothing disappears.
You'll be asked to choose which 3 projects stay active.
The remaining projects become archived and read-only until you reactivate them.
Archived projects can be reactivated at any time — either by upgrading back to Plus, or by swapping one of your 3 active projects for an archived one.
What happens to your clients
Nothing changes. Clients are unlimited on the Free plan, so all your existing clients remain fully accessible.
What happens to your documents
Nothing changes. Documents are unlimited on the Free plan, so every document you've created stays fully accessible — including documents linked to archived projects, which remain readable even while their project is archived.
What happens to electronic signatures
Existing signed documents remain valid and accessible — they are not affected by the downgrade in any way. Going forward, new electronic signature usage becomes limited to 3 per month on the Free plan.
Frequently asked questions
Will my data be deleted?
No. We do not automatically delete any data when you downgrade. Your account history, documents, clients, and projects are all preserved.
How do I reactivate an archived project?
Go to your Projects listing and find the archived project. You can swap it with one of your 3 active projects to make it active again — or upgrade to Plus to remove the limit entirely.
Are my previously signed documents still valid?
Yes. All previously signed documents remain legally valid and accessible regardless of your plan.
What if I want full access again?
Upgrading to Plus restores everything instantly — unlimited projects, unlimited signatures, no watermarks, and access to all features. Go to My Account → Billing → Upgrade to Plus to reactivate your plan.
