How do electronic signatures work in TCB?

TCB has built-in electronic signatures with audit trails and certificates of completion. Here's how the signing process works.

What are electronic signatures in TCB?

TCB includes a built-in electronic signature feature that lets you send documents to clients for signing — directly from the platform, without needing a separate e-signature tool.

Every document you create in TCB can be sent for signature once it's ready. The signing process is guided, secure, and produces a legally binding signed document with a full audit trail.

How does the signing process work?

  1. Finalize your document in the Document Builder.

  2. Send it for signature — your client receives an email with a secure signing link.

  3. Your client reviews the document and signs electronically.

  4. Both you and your client receive the signed document automatically.

  5. A certificate of completion and full audit trail are generated and attached to every signed document.

What is an audit trail?

Every signed document in TCB includes a detailed audit trail — a tamper-evident record of the entire signing process. This includes:

  • Who was invited to sign and when

  • When the document was viewed

  • When and how it was signed

  • The signer's email address and IP address

  • A timestamp for each action

This audit trail is embedded in the signed document and serves as evidence of the signing event.

How many signatures can I send?

  • Free plan — up to 3 electronic signatures per month

  • Plus plan — unlimited electronic signatures

Your signature usage resets at the start of each calendar month on the Free plan.
