The Daily Brief: your day on one page

A morning read of what is due, what slipped, and what needs a push, composed from the insights your Base Intelligence layer produced overnight.

What the Daily Brief is

A feed of cards is a warehouse. Everything carries the same weight, there is no order, and you are back to deciding what matters, which is the exact problem an intelligence layer is supposed to solve.

The Daily Brief is the same material with a voice and an order: what is due, what slipped, and what needs a push before it gets away. One read in the morning, not an inbox.

Where to find it

In the sidebar, or straight at /brief. It sits alongside the insight rail on your dashboard, and the two are on purpose: the rail is for a glance during the day, the Brief is for reading.

It does not generate anything

The Brief only reads. The work happens overnight, when TCB goes through your projects, documents, tasks and deadlines and writes what it finds. By the time you open it in the morning, it is done.

Two kinds of content

  • Reminders are observed facts, calculated directly from your data. A deadline in three days, an empty pipeline, an invoice that has been waiting. Every account gets these, on every plan.

  • AI insights are judgement on top of those facts, naming which one to act on. They belong to the Base Intelligence layer, on the PRO plan.

It is not a notification

The Brief does not chase you. No push, no email, no badge counting up. It waits for you and it is there when you open it.

Turning it down

The categories and priorities you want to see are set in Base Setup, on the Base Intelligence tab. Hiding a category there also stops it being generated, so nothing is produced for a shelf you never look at.
