Does TCB use AI?

TCB now uses AI in one place: AI Insights. Documents are still composed by a rules engine, not AI. Here's exactly where AI is used, where it isn't, and how your data is protected.

The short answer

Yes — in one specific place. Since the launch of AI Insights, The Creators Base uses AI to analyze your own business data and turn it into daily, actionable guidance. That is the only part of the product powered by AI.

Everything else — including your documents — still runs on a rules engine, not AI. Here's the honest breakdown.

Where TCB uses AI: AI Insights

AI Insights is the intelligence layer of your Base. It reads your projects, tasks, documents, and rates — and nothing else — and surfaces things like where you deliver fastest, which services earn you the most, deadlines at risk, and where you might be undercharging. Insights appear in the Intelligence panel of your dashboard, refreshed daily, and every AI-generated card carries an AI badge so you always know what you're reading.

AI Insights is part of the PRO plan. During the closed beta, it is unlocked for every account at no cost. You control it entirely — you can turn the panel off or filter what you see in Base Setup → Intelligence.

Your data is protected by multiple layers: insights are generated from your data for you alone, your account identity is stripped before the AI analysis runs, your data is never shared with other users, and we never sell it. For the full picture, read How AI Insights uses your data.

Where TCB does not use AI: your documents

When TCB builds a draft document, it is not writing or generating text with AI. It is applying your own structured data — your pricing, scope, deliverables, and tasks — to a document template, following built-in rules for each document type and Service Type combination. The output is fast and consistent because the structure is defined, not because a model is predicting it.

This is deliberate. Your documents represent your professional voice — and that starts with your data, not a language model's output.

What about the chat widget?

The support chat you see inside TCB is powered by Fin, an AI assistant built by Intercom. Fin uses our Help Center articles to answer your questions automatically. It is a third-party support tool — not part of the TCB product itself.

Why does the Privacy Policy mention AI?

Our Privacy Policy covers AI capabilities — including AI insights, AI automation, and AI document generation — because good legal practice requires disclosing intended data processing before it happens, not after. AI Insights is now active; the other capabilities remain part of our roadmap and are not live yet.

What's coming next?

AI Insights is the first step of a bigger vision: an intelligent assistant built directly into your Base — an AI that learns from your Service Types, your project history, and how you work, and uses all of that context to help you work faster and smarter. Not a generic AI assistant. A contextual one, shaped by your own Base.

The more you build your Base now — customizing your Service Types, adding clients and projects, creating documents — the more context that intelligence has to work with. AI Insights already runs on it today.
