v0.3 gives your Base a brain. This release introduces AI Insights — the first AI-powered feature in TCB — alongside a brand-new document template and smarter, more flexible invoicing.
AI Insights — your business, analyzed daily
The headline of this release. Your dashboard now has an Intelligence panel that reads the data you already keep in your Base — projects, tasks, documents, and rates — and turns it into clear, actionable guidance, refreshed daily:
Performance — where you deliver fastest and complete the most
Financial — which services earn you the most, and where you might be undercharging
Deadlines & workflow — tasks slipping, projects stalling, invoices waiting too long to be paid
Pipeline — early warnings when your pipeline needs attention
Every AI-generated card carries an AI badge and many include a micro-visualization of the numbers behind the insight. You can act on a card, dismiss it, snooze it for a week, or rate it with a thumbs up or down — your feedback tunes future insights. Dismissed cards land in a History section, so nothing is ever lost.
You're in control: a new Intelligence tab in Base Setup lets you switch the panel on or off and filter which categories and priorities you see. AI Insights is part of the PRO plan — and during the closed beta it's unlocked for every account, at no cost.
Built responsibly, from day one: insights are generated exclusively from your own data, your account identity is stripped before any AI analysis runs, and your numbers are never shared with other users. Read How AI Insights uses your data for the full picture.
Ink — a new look for your documents
Your proposals, contracts, and invoices can now wear a second visual style. Ink joins Origin in the template picker inside the document editor — same structured content, a distinctly different personality. Pick the template per document, tune the accent color and style options, and the live preview shows exactly what your client will receive.
Bill a portion — flexible invoicing
Invoices are no longer locked to the full project value. A new Bill a portion control in the invoice editor lets you charge 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the project total in one click — perfect for deposits and milestone payments — or set any custom amount. The project keeps tracking its full value, shows how much has been invoiced, and your totals stay accurate across multiple invoices.
Clearer online payments
The Online Payments section in Getting Paid now spells out exactly what you get and what it costs — including the platform fee — before you connect. No surprises, ever.
Plus smaller improvements
The + Custom Service option is back in the document creation flow.
Friendlier empty states in Tasks and Finances for accounts that are just getting started.
A version badge in the app with a What's new summary, so you always know what changed.
Contract totals now always include the base service price alongside optional deliverables.
